A software management company sought to consolidate freelancers into one service provider. They hired Inoxoft to work on their marketing site, develop tools to identify code breaks and facilitate Java server development.
Inoxoft performed QA very well, and the company is confident in the work once it's life. Responsive and communicative, the team at Inoxoft held to a strict schedule and delivered on all promises with high-quality work. Their team is made up of professionals with high proficiency in Java.
Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the founder of a software management company. We have engineering offices in two locations, one of which is offshore.
What challenge were you trying to address with Inoxoft?
We had different freelancers working for us on different things. We wanted to consolidate by finding one service provider that could do everything and grow with us. From an engineering side, we were unable to keep up with the framework needs. For example, we wanted to switch to React so we needed expert help.
What was the scope of their involvement?
The first two phases of the project were on the UI side. First, they worked on our marketing site and took ownership of working on that project. Second, in our application, they developed tools and helped our developers understand where and when their code was breaking. They did management applications that had been abandoned, such as admin on settings pages and management based on APIs.
Our core team in our offshore office presented an API that Inoxoft was able to write management applications consolidated into our product.
In the next phase, they helped integrate with the CI of specific vendors for our product. This is a pure Java server development. They gave us full coverage, as well as QA project management. They facilitated the entire operation.
What is the team composition?
We worked with several people, around a dozen, that facilitated the engagement. This included a project manager and an account manager.
How did you come to work with Inoxoft?
My brother, who is also a colleague, referred them. He had worked with them previously.
How much have you invested with them?
We've spent between $250,000–$500,000.
What is the status of this engagement?
We began working together in September 2018, and it is ongoing.
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?Â
Internally, we are happy with the results and communication. Integrating with the CI of those vendors, we were able to leverage our power and make our users happy. Once the product is live, we will look for more metrics such as turn and usage. They did QA very well.
How did Inoxoft perform from a project management standpoint?
The communication was very sound despite the time difference of working with an offshore vendor. They’re strict, with a specific roadmap and task breakdown. They worked flawlessly. We had standups, daily reports from engineers, and communicated through Slack.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Unlike previous vendors we worked with, Inoxoft allowed us to individually interview team members to build the team we worked with. I was able to spend a fair amount of time with the team members who worked on Java. They’re very professional.Â
Are there any areas they could improve?
I want developers to engage with the product itself. I don’t think they wanted to do that.
